Linda Kotis is the author of creative nonfiction, memoir, fiction, and poetry with themes of family, history, memory, and Greek culture. She is writing a memoir of her April 2024 trip to Greece, her ancestral homeland.

 

Linda's prose poem excerpted from the memoir appears in Mediterranean Poetry. Her creative nonfiction, prose poetry, and fiction appear in The Write Launch, The Owl's Rant, and Drift & Dribble Miscellany. Work is forthcoming in Up North Literary Journal.

 

She has received two 2026 residency fellowships, one at the Mudhouse Artist Residency in Agios Ioannis, Crete and another at Wildacres Retreat in Little Switzerland, North Carolina, to continue work on her memoir.

Linda holds a JD from Vanderbilt University and is Senior Counsel at DC Affordable Law Firm in Washington, DC. Her articles on legal topics appear in many publications, including Kiplinger, ABA Probate & Property Magazine, Bloomberg Daily Tax Report, Leimberg Information Services, Inc. (LISI), and Washington Lawyer. Linda's writing has been cited in treatises and Continuing Legal Education series. Her personal essays, "Retirement Writes," appear in LISI's Employee Benefits and Retirement Planning Newsletter.
